Meet the Vets

Dr Alex Keough
BVSc/BVBio (Hons) BSc Cert IV
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Alex is one of our senior veterinarians. She has a strong commitment to rescue patients. She loves to treat all species big and small. She has a special interest in rat and sheep medicine. She has completed post graduate training in Small Animal Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care as well as Veterinary Leadership. She is fur parent to four beautiful kelpies, Evie, Bonnie, Clementine and Jacob as well as a number of geriatric cows and sheep.

Dr Sara Hodges
BVSc/BVBio
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Sara absolutely loves veterinary medicine and it's challenges, with her favourite part of the job being getting to send happy and healthy animals back to their families. Outside of work she's kept very busy with her adorable human toddler, Billy, and baby Elsie, Jack Russells and Quarter horses, together with her partner on their farm outside Wagga.

Dr Sue Hughes

Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Sue loves being a veterinarian. She has a passion for training all sorts of animals. She has spent years trialling dogs in obedience, agility, sheep. She has shown cattle, can ride at advanced level dressage and has also played polo crosse. She has have four adorable dogs; Lilly, Collie Smooth, Pomeranian Narla, Chihuahua Pookie as well as three cats Bubbles, China, Willy and a horse PJ. She is also a wonderful mother of two adult children and now a grandmother..

Dr Judith Bourne

Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Judith rejoins the LRV family with a wealth of knowledge in pathology, education, research and small animal medicine. She has worked in a number of research and pathology positions including our local CSU pathology laboratory. We are excited to have Dr Judith back on the team.

Dr Albert Favorito
DVM
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Albert is an international veterinarian from the Philippines with a passion for animal health and global veterinary practices. He especially enjoys discovering new dog and cat breeds he hasn’t seen before—each one is a fascinating glimpse into the diversity of our animal companions. Whether he's in the clinic or exploring new places, he is always eager to learn more about the unique traits and care needs of different breeds from around the world.

Dr Lachlan Bailey
BVSc/BVBio (Hons)
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Lachlan is a veterinarian who has undertaken further study in Emergency Medicine and Surgery at the University of Melbourne, with a focused interest in soft tissue surgery. His passion lies in providing critical care when it matters most and advancing his surgical expertise to better serve his patients. At home, he's kept on his toes by his four beloved pets: Tripod, his spirited three-legged cat, and his three wonderful dogs—Poppy, Potato, and Rosie.

Dr Manar Abdelhamed

Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Manar is a veterinarian from Egypt with a deep passion for both animals and children. She is happily married and grateful for the support of her husband as she pursues her career in animal care. Whether in the clinic or the community, she is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of animals and the people who love them.

Dr Sarah Pollard Williams

Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Sarah is a veterinarian specialising in ophthalmology with a passion for advancing animal eye care. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as a university lecturer, where she enjoys mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals. Recently, she has enjoyed an exciting new chapter, becoming a grandmother! Balancing her career and family brings her joy and purpose every day.

Dr Mikayla Cole
BVSc/BVBio (Hons)
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Mikayla was raised in Tasmania on a farm with every pet you could think of she has a keen attraction to both production and companion animal health. A 2022 graduate of Melbourne University's DVM program and with a strong drive to problem solve, created a well rounded individual with personal interests in preventative health, emergency medicine and reproductive work. Her ets at home include horses, birds and guinea pigs

Karley
Practice Manager and Integrator
Karley brings years of senior leadership and management experience, using her wealth of knowledge to create a smooth, effective, and cohesive hospital team. As our EOS Integrator, she implements the latest Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) principles to enhance efficiency and teamwork.
At home, she’s a proud fur parent to Trevor, the cheekiest sausage dog, and human mum to four gorgeous unfurred babies.

Ruva
Accountant
Ruva is our Accountant and Financial Manager, bringing a strong background in finance and insurance to the team. With extensive expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and business strategy, she plays a crucial role in guiding the hospital through the complex financial landscape of veterinary practice.
Her keen eye for detail and strategic approach ensure the hospital’s long-term sustainability and growth, while also supporting the team in making informed financial decisions.
While she’s looking forward to becoming a fur parent to a doggo in the future, for now, her human kids have a much-loved collection of extremely well-cared-for guinea pigs.

Jeremy
Marketing Manager and
Practice Owner
Jeremy is a dedicated practice owner and marketing manager with over 20 years of leadership and people management experience in small to medium teams. Bringing a strong background in rescue and foster care, he joined the LRV family with a passion for animal welfare and business growth.
He recently completed the Veterinary Business and Leadership Program through the Lincoln Institute and is excited about his new role, while continuing his education in marketing. Beyond strategy and leadership, he also enjoys maintenance and repairs around the hospital.
At home, Jeremy is a proud fur parent to Big Red the Cat, Jacob the Blue Kelpie, and Bella the Golden Labrador.

Debbie
Staff Support & Human Resources
With a background in HR and social services, Debbie is dedicated to supporting and developing our team. With over 30 years of experience in education and community services, she ensures staff have access to the support they need while fostering a positive and cohesive workplace.
She works closely with our training and education partners to ensure that staff and work placement students are well-supported in their growth and learning, helping them reach their full potential.

Rachel
Professional Services Manager
Rachel is our dedicated Professional Services Manager, overseeing the efficient coordination of consulting and professional services while ensuring high standards in patient care and team efficiency. With a strong background in veterinary nursing and hospital operations, she plays a key role in maintaining a well-structured and supportive environment for both staff and clients.
A Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN/RVT) and Qualified Veterinary Technologist (B. VTech), Rachel is passionate about clinical excellence, staff development, and optimizing hospital workflows to enhance patient outcomes. Her leadership ensures that every aspect of hospital operations runs smoothly and efficiently.
Outside of work, she enjoys restoring furniture and spending quality time with her two beautiful toddlers. She is also a proud fur parent to four dogs and a small team of specialty breed chickens.

Kate
Hospital Services Manager, Nurse Practitioner
Kate is a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN/RVT) and Qualified Veterinary Technologist (B. VTech) with a strong background in medical bioscience and advanced medical and veterinary services. As Hospital Services Manager, she plays a vital role in ensuring efficient hospital operations, exceptional patient care, and seamless collaboration among the team. Her expertise in complex medical cases and advanced treatments makes her an invaluable asset to both patients and staff.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys gardening and immersing herself in nature. She is currently planning her dream wedding with the love of her life, Dr. Tom. At home, she is a devoted fur mum to Winner, Fern, and Cleaver.

Priscilla
Surgical Services Manager
With a strong background as a theatre nurse, Priscilla has been pivotal in developing Lake Road’s surgical standards and protocols. As Surgical Operations Manager, she ensures efficiency, sterility, and best practices in patient care.
She holds multiple certifications, including IV Veterinary Nurse (RVN, AVN), Fear Free Professional, WIRES Career, and Taronga Veterinary Professional Training in Wildlife Treatment and Care. She has also recently graduated from Lincoln’s esteemed Leadership Training for Aspiring Leaders in the Veterinary Profession.
Beyond surgery, Priscilla is dedicated to rescue rehabilitation and rehoming as our Rescue Rehoming Coordinator. At home, she’s a proud Fur-Mama to two Chihuahuas, a Shar Pei, and a fuzzy Pug.

Jess
Administrative Services Manager
Jess is our Administrative Services Manager, bringing a strong background in agribusiness with a focus on customer service and administrative compliance. Her expertise ensures the smooth operation of our administrative processes, enhancing efficiency and client experience.
This new role is an exciting development for our hospital, allowing dedicated focus on streamlining operations and supporting both staff and clients. Jess is passionate about building strong relationships and ensuring excellence in administrative management. Proud Fur-mumma to Frank.
Meet the Admin Team

Taylah Vallely
Client Comunication Team Leader
Taylah is our amazing Client Communications Team Leader. She diligently makes sure that our diary run as smoothly as possible, triaging phone calls as well as makes sure our fur babies have the correct vaccination schedules. She has been part of the LRV Family over 3 years now and it loving every bit of it. She has recently become a mum for the first time and is revelling in motherhood.

Jenny Duncan
Accounts Manager
Jenny is proud Junee resident and brings a wealth of business and finance knowledge to Lake Road Vet from a career in banking and finance. When she is not at work she is busy enjoying time with her grandbabies and helping out at the soccer.

Joshua is a trainee in Business Management with hands-on experience in reception and client communication, where he is able to focus on delivering excellent service and building strong customer relationships. He has a growing interest in IT and marketing, and is eager to explore how technology and creative strategies can enhance business operations and client engagement.

Natalie Bathgate
Patient Stylest and Groomer
Veterinary Nurse
Nat is the face behind our incredible grooming wing. Not only is she an amazing groomer she also holds Cert II in Animal Studies, Cert III in Animal Studies, Cert IV Veterinary Nursing and Advanced Grooming techniques. She has been working in the veterinary industry since 2005 originally as a Veterinary Nurse. She has been grooming for 12 years now. Nat is the proud human Mum of 2 young boys. Her hobbies include softball and she love to relax and watch Netflix. She is fur parent to five fur babies; Halle (Rhodesian Ridgeback) who is 2 years and Ryder (Bullmastiff) who is 6 years and Indi (Devon Rex) who is 12 years old.

Renelle Napier
Procedure Nurse
Renelle is one of our very skilled procedure nurses. She has a long background in animal care and rehabilitation, hand raising many orphaned animals growing up. She work mainly in the fields of dentistry and radiography but also extremely knowledge when it come to Chemotherapy protocols. She is the proud fur parent to Knox the Wonder Dog who is one of Lake Road Vets biggest and bravest Blood Donors.

Ivory Roberts

Ivory has had a love for animals sine I was very young and was lucky to have grown up with a wide variety of pets including cats, dogs, birds, rabbits and fish. She currently holds a Certificate 4 as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and have many years experience in the veterinary industry. She has worked in a range of practices including referral and specialist practices. She loves coming to work to care for your family members each day. At home she is a proud Mum, feather-parent to a beautiful Sun Conure and foster parent to many LRV Rescue kids.

Caitlin Cooke

Veterinary Nurse
Caitlin is a qualified Veterinary Nurse and Veterinary Technician. She graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology from Charles Sturt University in 2022. She is usually working in our consult rooms alongside our vets and I love meeting new people and pets! Outside of work she loves spending time with family and friends. She is fur parent to two beautiful Kelpies, Belle and Tess 🐾

Steph Dew
Consult Liasion
Steph is one of our dedicated consult nurse/liaisons. She is from a strong animal and farming background. She has just returned to work following maternity leave and is now human Mumma to Teddy. When not at work she loves spending time outside and on her family farm in Mangoplah. She is also a pretty good netball player, playing for Mangoplah Goannas in her spare time. She is fur parent to three fur babies named Roo, Pip, and Fin.

Allira is a devoted mother and trainee Veterinary Nurse. She balances family life with her love for animal care. Allira is eager to learn in everything she does, whether she's caring for her children or gaining hands-on experience in the veterinary field.

Belinda Coleman
T/Veterinary Nurse
With a Certificate II in Animal Care and a strong background in forensic investigation (Diploma of Forensic Investigation), Belinda brings a unique blend of analytical thinking and compassionate care to her role as a trainee veterinary nurse. She also hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, reflecting her commitment to ongoing learning and sharing knowledge with others.
As a dedicated animal lover and busy mum of two, she lives a hands-on lifestyle surrounded by animals, including horses, dogs, a cat, chickens, and an Amazon parrot.

Lily Shipway
T/Veterinary Nurse
Lily is a former Mater Dei student and currently a trainee Vet Nurse, working towards her Certificate II in Animal Care. Her passion for animals has always been a big part of who she is — she has previously volunteered with Riding for the Disabled (RDA), and I also worked casually at Wagga Swim School.
At home, life is never boring with my 12 much-loved pets. Caring for them has only deepened Lily's love and curiosity for animal health and wellbeing.

Jesse Tanner
Puppy Preschool Stage 2
Jesse is one of our amazing Puppy Educators. She has a long and passionate interest in behaviour science and welfare. She hold a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science from Charles Sturt University, Wagga. She always been interested in a wide range of animal training. Even as a child she would train any animal around her, from dogs, cats and even chickens! She is Fur-Mum to a beautiful Kelpie, Poppy, and three small parrots, Pistachio, Monkey and Sprout. Between them all I'm always training something!

Emma Huebner
Patient Care
Emma is one of our dedicated Patient Care team members. She grew up in a small NSW town called Leeton. She helps her grandparents on their farm which is where her love for animals began. She has not long returned to work following maternity leave. She is human Mum to daughter, baby Aurora and she most definitely loves animals too! Emma is also fur-parent to two LRV Rescue kittens, Toothless and Noodles who think they run the house.

Dayna Spuur

Dayna is a dedicated member of our Patient Care team, bringing compassion, attentiveness and a strong commitment to animal welfare in every interaction. With a Certificate II in Animal Studies, she was proud to receive the hospital's Outstanding Achievement Award in 2022. She is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and is passionate about expanding her skills and knowledge in the field. At home she is fur mum to two cats and her rescue dog, Chase.

Karina Barrow

Karina is a devoted mum with a strong passion for animal care and a deep commitment to helping others. With a natural love for animals and a focus on patient care, she brings empathy, reliability, and dedication to every aspect of her work. Whether supporting her family or caring for animals, Karina is driven by compassion and a desire to make a positive difference every day.

Kim Broadbelt
Patient Care
Kim works in patient care and is passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of others. Originally from Sydney, she brings warmth and care to her role. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her family, finding joy in the simple moments that matter most.

Kasey O'Mahony
Patient Care
Kasey works in patient care and has a strong passion for helping others — both people and animals. She finds peace and purpose in rescuing and rehoming animals, giving them the second chance they deserve. Caring for animals brings her a sense of calm and fulfilment, and it's a big part of who she is.
