We are here for you and your family 24 hours a day. Where you are, family and care never sleeps. We will be there for you in your time of need and will treat your furbaby as if it were one of our own.
Meet the Vets

Dr Alex Keough
BVSc/BVBio (Hons) BSc Cert IV
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Alex is one of our senior veterinarians. She has a strong commitment to rescue patients. She loves to treat all species big and small. She has a special interest in rat and sheep medicine. She has completed post graduate training in Small Animal Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care as well as Veterinary Leadership. She is fur parent to four beautiful kelpies, Evie, Bonnie, Clementine and Jacob as well as a number of geriatric cows and sheep.

Dr Sara Hodges
BVSc/BVBio
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Sara absolutely loves veterinary medicine and it's challenges, with her favourite part of the job being getting to send happy and healthy animals back to their families. Outside of work she's kept very busy with her adorable human toddler, Billy, Jack Russells and Quarter horses, together with her partner on their farm outside Wagga.

Dr Sue Hughes

Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Sue loves being a veterinarian. She has a passion for training all sorts of animals. She has spent years trialling dogs in obedience, agility, sheep. She has shown cattle, can ride at advanced level dressage and has also played polo crosse. She has have four adorable dogs; Lilly, Collie Smooth, Pomeranian Narla, Chihuahua Pookie as well as three cats Bubbles, China, Willy and a horse PJ. She is also a wonderful mother of two adult children and now a grandmother..

Dr Frankie Male
BVSc/BVBio (Hons)
Veterinary Surgeon
Originally from Griffith NSW, Dr Frankie enjoys living in the Riverina with her husband and daughter, as well as their rescue cat and dog. Dr Frankie has a passion for all things relating to small animals. She completed an Honours project on kidney injury in small animals and has gone on to complete additional training in small animal emergency medicine. Her other areas of interest include surgery, anaesthesia, oncology, ophthalmology and neurology.

Dr Amber Ijaz
Veterinary Surgeon
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Amber is one of the veterinarians at Lake Road Vet. She graduated from Vet School in Pakistan and is now a registered veterinarian in Australia. Dr Amber and her husband moved to Wagga Wagga over one year ago. They have made Wagga their new home and really love Wagga and it's community. Dr Amber has special interest in all things small animal particularly cats and dogs but alway keen to see all species. With the Wagga wildife there is always something new to see and learn.

Dr Lachlan Bailey
BVSc/BVBio (Hons)
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Lachlan is one of our emergency veterinarians. He has a special interest in emergency and critical care and well as emergency surgery. He loves taking on challenging cases and complex medical cases. He is currently undertaking further study through Melbourne University in Emergency Medicine and Surgery with a focus on this area in addition to soft tissue surgery. He is a fur-parent of four; Tripod, a three legged energetic cat and his lovely dogs; Poppy, Potato and Rosie.

Dr Mikayla Cole
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Mkiayla was raised in Tasmania wild on a farm with every pet you could think of started a keen attraction to both production and companion animal health. Dr Mikayla is a graduate of Melbourne University's DVM program. She has a strong drive to problem solve created a well rounded individual with personal interests in preventative health, emergency medicine and reproductive work. She is a furpart to many babies at home including horses, birds and guinea pigs.

Dr Judith Bourne

Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Judith rejoins the LRV family with a wealthof knowledge in pathology, education, research and small animal medicine. She has worked in a number of research and pathology positions including our local CSU pathology laboratory. We are excited to have Dr Judith back on the team.

Dr Regan Parle
BVSc/BVBio (Hons)
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Regan has been a part of the LRV family for many years back when his own furbabies where getting un to no good. Dr Regan completed his vet degree at Charles Sturt University in Wagga. When he is not busy studying, enjoys a few hobbies including mountain biking and running my small Galloway Stud. He is the pround fur-parent to Simba and Zazu (cats), VIP Heifer, Harriette as well as many furbaies including, cats, a dog a horses and many chickens.

Dr Alice Godwin
BVSc/BVBio (Hons)
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Alice studied Veterinary Science at Charles Sturt University here in Wagga before joining the team at Lake Road which I am very excited about. She completed research honours in small animal anaesthesiology. She is furparent to a a Dalmatian X Labrador named, Jake, two horses, cats, cows and lots of chooks and Guinea fowl who keep us busy at home! In her spare time she loves riding horses, gardening and spending time with my husband.

Dr Claudia Pook
BVSc/BVBio
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Claudia has a special interest in small animals but also sheep and catttle. She has a wide range of experience from emergency to large animal practice. She studied at Charles Sturt University so is no stranger to Wagga. Look out for her in a cat or dog consultation or by the cattle crush on a farm. She is furparent to the georgous Skye the Blue Border Collie and Stella also a Border Collie.
Meet the Managers

Sonya Leddin
Business Manager
Sonya has worked for Lake Road Veterinary Hospital for over 8 years. Through out this time Sonya has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and Veterinary Nursing registration and Certificate IV in Training and Assessing. Sonya has 3 children and enjoys traveling and seeing Australia in her time off. Her pet love is her Golden Retriever x Cocker Spaniel Archer.

Jeremy Keough
Practice Manager
Jeremy has a wealth of experience in leadership and people management managing small to medium team for over 20 years. He join the LRV family with a background in rescue and foster caring knowledge. He has recently completed his Veterinary Business and Leadership program through the Lincoln Institute and is excited about his new role.

Debbie Doulman
Staff Support & Human Resources
Debbie serves as our diligent Human Resources Manager and Staff Support specialist. With over 30 years of experience in education and community services, she excels at addressing staff-related issues and ensures that all team members have access to the necessary support networks. In addition, Debbie coordinates our Pat and Chat morning tea sessions, further emphasising her commitment to staff and community well-being.

Jack Morris
Assistant Practice Manager
Jack is one of our Assistant Practice Managers along side Karley. He has been at Lake Road Vet for over 3 years now and worked his way tirelessly through the leadership channels to a management role. In his free time he likes to spend time with his life partner Tylah, go exploring, mountain bike riding and play board games! He is furparent to a special doggo, Koda and a very lucky orphaned kitten called Bond.

Karley Cook
Assistant Practice Manager
Karley is a dedicated Assitant Parctice Manager along side Jack. She has strong background in rescues and shelter work as well a people management. She is a pround Mum of four human babies and furparent to one cute sausage, Trevor.

Kyla Walmsley
Day Manager
Kyla is our of our day maangers. She started her career are Lake Road Vet as an Animal Atendant. She quickly became a trainee veterinary nurse, team leader, nurse practitioner and is now a Day Manager. She has a wealth of knowledge all this Lake Road Vet. She is the pround furparent to Turbo the Jack Russel Terrier but has also been know to foster some less fortunate furbabies from time to time.

Montanna Taylor
Day Manager
Montanna is our of our day mangers. She like Kyla started her career are Lake Road Vet as an Animal Attendant. She quickly became a trainee veterinary nurse, team leader, nurse practitioner and is now a Day Manager. She has in the past also held the role of Assistant Practice Manager. She is the proud fur-parent to Bailey the dog and Roy the Ginger Cat both ExLRV Rescue patients.
Meet the Admin Team

Taylah Vallely
Client Comunication Team Leader
Taylah is our amazing Client Communications Team Leader. She diligently makes sure that our diary run as smoothly as possible, triaging phone calls as well as makes sure our furbabies have the correct vaccination schedules. She has been part of the LRV Family over 3 years now and it loving every bit of it.

Jenny Duncan
Accounts Manager
Jenny is proud Junee resident and brings a wealth of business and finance knowledge to Lake Road Vet from a career in banking and finance. When she is not at work she is busy enjoying time with her grandbabies and helping out at the soccer.

Alyce Dale
Client Care
Executive Assistant
Alyce joined the Lake Road Family after meeting Dr Alex at a postnatal exercise class with their babies. Alyce brings her administrative and customer service skills to Lake Road after working in the legal profession for 11 years. Alyce is a fur mum to Oscar, a retired working Kelpie who is 13 years old.

Amelia Stephenson
Client Care
Amelia, better known as Milly, recently finished year 12 here in Wagga. She has been working in our Patient Care team for over 4 years starting as a junior at only 14 years of age, She is now working in Client Care on receptions. She is looking at doing human Nursing at university next year but taking 12 months off from full time studies and enjoying the company of our wonderful patients. Milly is the proud fur parent to Arlo, a cute Koolie boy.
Meet the Nurses

Lorena Vega
Nurse Practitioner
Lorena originally from Columbia is actually a Veterinarian. She is currently working through her Australian Veteirnary Examinations to one day be registered as an Australian Veterinarian, until then she works in a nursing capacity as one of our Nurse Practitioners. She has completed further studies in Agriculture and has a special interest in rehabilitation and physcial therapies. Any of our Hydro kids or Laser kids will know her well. Her original furbaby still lives in Colombia but she is now a fur-gaurdian for a homeless street cat in her neighbourhood and also VIP carers for our hospital dog Aussie who is in a wheelchair.

Priscilla Willcockson
Rescue Coordinator
Veterinary Nurse RVN
Priscilla has a long background as atheatre nurse and has been piviotal in developing many LRC standards and Protocols. She currently holds Certificates in; IV Veterinary Nurse RVN, AVN Fear Free Professional, WIRES Career and Taronga Veterinary Professional Training in Wildlife Treatment and Care. She now finds herself busy working with our LRV Rescue patients as our Rescue Rehoming Coordinator. She is Fur-Mama to two Chihuahuas, one Shar Pei and a fuzzy Pug.

Rachel Miller
Hospital Team Leader
Veterinary Nurse
Rachel is our wonderful Hospital Team Leader. She is often the kind, compassionate soul on the other end of the phone giving morning updates to ICU patients. Rachel is a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and is currently study my Bachelor of Veterinary Technolgy at Charles Sturt University, Wagga. In her spare time she loves spending time with her two beautiful human toddlers and restoring furniture, She is proud furparent to 4 dogs and a small team of speciality breed chickens.

Ivory Roberts

Veterinary Nurse
Ivory has had a love for animals sine I was very young and was lucky to have grown up with a wide variety of pets including cats, dogs, birds, rabbits and fish. She currently holds a Certificate 4 as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and have many years experience in the veterinary industry. She has worked in a range of practices including referral and specialist practices. She loves coming to work to care for your family members each day. At home she is a pround Mum, feather-parent to a beautiful Sun Conure and foster parent to many LRV Resuce kids.

Caitlin Cooke
Consult Team Leader
Veterinary Nurse
Caitlin is a qualified Veterinary Nurse and Veterinary Technician. She graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology from Charles Sturt University in 2022. She is usually working in our consult rooms alongside our vets and I love meeting new people and pets! Outside of work she loves spending time with family and friends. She is furparent to two beautiful Kelpies, Belle and Tess 🐾

Renelle Napier
Procedure Nurse
Renelle is one of our very skill procedure nurses. She has a long background in animal care and rehabilitation, handraising many ophaned animals growing up. She work mainly in the feilds of dentisty and radiography but also extremelay knowledge when it come to Chemotherpahy protocols. She is proud furparent to Knox the Wonder Dog who is one of Lake Road Vets biggest and braverst Blood Donors.

Taylor Rutland-Grierson
Puppy Preschool Coordinator
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Hi I'm Taylor. I've been at Lake Road for nearly 3 years and have loved seeing all our patients grow up! I work mainly as a consult nurse and as the puppy preschool coordinator but you may also see me after hours as a hospital nurse too! My big passion is teaching and learning particularly about behaviour and enrichment with animals of all ages but especially puppies! Fun Fact: I'm also a dance instructor and a competitive dancer myself and in love with spending time with my partner and our two daughters!

Jenna Birch
Reception Team Leader
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Jenna is our amazing Recption Team Leader. She is busy working on ways to make our waiting room more patient and cleint frindly all the time. She is also studing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and currently holds a Certificate III in Animal Studiest. She loves all things animal related. She is form a come from a small town community locally and bring this small town vibe to work each and every day. Living rurally has allowed her to have a wide range of pets at home. She is currently furparent to 3 cats and 9 horses.

Steph Dew
Consult Liasion
Steph is one of our dedicate consult nurse/liasions. She is from a storng animal and farming background. She has just returned to work follow materinity leave and is now human Mumma to Teddy. When not at work she loves spending time outside and on our family farm in Mangoplah. She is also a pretty good netball player, playing for Mangoplah Goannas in my spare time. She is furparent to three fur babies named Roo, Pip, and Fin.

Hannah Finemore
Surgical Nurse
Hannah is born, bred, and trainined in Wagga. She is one of our amazing surgucal nurses. She has previously held team leader roles in Patient Care. She is a Qualified Veterinary Nurse. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses and playing competitive netball. Hannah is furparent to gorgeous rag-doll called Luna and a Border Collie called Harley.

Nat Bathgate
Patient Stylest and Groomer
Veterinary Nurse
Nat is the face behind our incredible grooming wing. Not only is she an amaizng groomer she also hold certificates in; Cert II Animal Studies, Cert III Animal Studies, Cert IV Veterinary Nursing and Advanced Grooming techniques. She has been working in the veterinary industry since 2005 originally as a Veterinary Nurse. She has been grooming for 12 years now. Nat is the proud human Mum of 2 young boys. Her hobbies include softball and she love to relax and watch Netflix. She is furparent to five furbabies; Halle (Rhodesian Ridgeback) who is 2 years and Ryder (Bullmastiff) who is 6 years and Indi (Devon Rex) who is 12 years old.

Kate Moore
Hospital Nurse
Kate is a qualified Veterinary Nurse and is also studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology and a Law Degree. She is proud furparent to two dogs - Winnie, a Border Collie x Australian Koolie, and Dirk, a Staffy x Australian Koolie. She also has a majestic, Australian Stock Horse named Phoenix to keep her busy.

Bronte Roberts
Hospital Nurse and Patient Care
Bronte is usually found out the bakc int he hospital wards. She is working between hospital nursing and pateint care. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at Charles Sturt University here is Wagga. Outside of work she loves dinosaurs, online gaming, puzzles, mazes and strategy games. She also likes growing her own plants. She is furparent to three crazy dogs and a very lucky tripod cat.

Rose Jackson
Hospital Nurse
Rose is a very experienced Hopsital Nurse. She currently holds a a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and am currently studying radiography at Charles Sturt University here in Wagga. She is the proud furparent to two naughty Devon Rex cats named 'Skimbleshanks' and 'Shroomy".

Alicia Goode
Hospital Nurse
Alicia started working at Lake Road Vet in 2022, after completing placement for my Certificate IV in Vet Nursing. She is now a Registered Veterinary Nurse and loves caring for the beautiful patients that come through our doors. She is currently in my last year of studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at Charles Sturt University in Wagga. In her spare time she loves playing the drums and guitar, reading and spending time with my cat, Hunter, and my dog, Jasper.

Hospital Gaurd Dog
Aussie came to Lake Road Vet after a bad motor vehicle accident. His previous jobs include sheep dog and lounge lizard. He required emergency surgery and spinal surgery but the damage to his nerves left him in a wheelchair. He has undertaken an agressive rehabiliation program at Lake Road Vet and made huge improvements. His family live on a farm and we are now his primary carers. His family visit regularly when they are in Wagga for cuddles and day trips/gate release from hospital.
Meet the Support Team

Jacob Motha
Day Manager
Jacob is one of our Hospital Nurses and Day Managers when he is not at university studying Veterinary Science at Charles Sturt University. Originally from Wangaratta Victoria, Jacob moved to Wagga for his studies. Jacob is Fur-Dad to Hallie the stunning Black and Tan, Doberman. Jacob‘s passion for animals and Veterinary Science came we his family farm whilst working with their livestock. Jacob spends most of his spare time outdoors, participating in activities ranging from hiking to mechanics and everything in between!

Priscilla Orchard
Patient Care Team Leader
Priscilla is our Patient Care Team Leader. She is usually working out the back in the hospital wards and often on late or night shift. She is currently studying a double degree Bachelor of Animal Science and Bachelor of Veterinary Technology keeping her very busy outside of work.

Jesse Tanner
Puppy Preschool Stage 2
Jesse is one of our amazing Puppy Educators. She has a long and passionate interest in behaviour science and welfare. She hold a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science from Charles Sturt University, Wagga. She always been interested in a wide range of animal training. Even as a child she would train any animal around her, from dogs, cats and even chickens! She is Fur-Mum to a beautiful Kelpie, Poppy, and three small parrots, Pistachio, Monkey and Sprout. Between them all I'm always training something!

Tylah Delbridge
Hospital Nurse
Tylah is one of our busy Hospital Nurses often late evening shifts. She has a strong interest in improving veterinary training and skill development via non invasive teaching models. She is a final year veterinary student studying at Charles Sturt University here in Wagga. In her spare time she likes to like craft, play music, spend time with my pets, and go on adventures with her life partner Jack!

Sarah Murphy
Hospital Nurse and Patient Care
Sarah works between hospital and patient care roles. She she predominately works nightshift and helps triage many late night emergency cases. She is from an extensive creative arts and animation background. She is currently studying Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at Charles Sturt University here in Wagga. She is an exotic pet fanatic and if Fur-Mum to fesnyng of ferrets and a pooch called Paisley.

Emma Huebner
Patient Care
Emma is one of our dedicated Patient Care team members. She grew up in a small NSW town called Leeton. She helps her grandparents on their farm which is where her love for animals began. She has not long returned to work following maternity leave. She is human Mum to daughter, baby Aurora and she most definitely loves animals too! Emma is also fur-parent to two LRV Rescue kittens, Toothless and Noodles who think they run the house.

Chelsea Girdler
Client Care
Chelsea is often seen on reception particularly late at night. She helps to triage many emergencies and support thier families while their patients as being stabilised. She is a final year veterinary science student studying at Charles Sturt University here in Wagga. When not working or at university she is often out and about own running with her own fur-family or squeezing in some laps at the Oasis Aquatic Centre.

Richard Knight
Hospital Nurse
Richard is a final year veterinary student currently studying at Charles Sturt University due to graduate in 2024. Hailing from Coonabarabran in Central West NSW, Richard is looking forward to developing his practical skills in small animal veterinary care to compliment his previous large animal experience and concurrent studies. Richard spends his time outside of University and work pursuing his passion of Equestrian Eventing. He is Fur-Dad to very attentive Koolie named Floki, never far from his side!

Maddy Ciacia
Hospital Nurse
Maddy works in both hospital and patient care. She is currently studying Veterinary Science at Charles Sturt University here in Wagga. She is a Foster Carer for our LRV Rescue patients. She now Fur-Mum to a lovely LRV Rescue puppy named Betty who likes to keep me very busy as well as a horse named Gordon.

Dayna Spuur
Animal Attendant
Dayna is one of our dedicated Patient Care team members. She currently holds a Certificate II in Animal Studies with TAFE NSW, receiving the Lake Road Vet Hospital Award for Outstanding Certificate II Animal Studies in 2021. She is now currently studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She has three fur babies, two crazy cats; Fifi and Baby, and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier X named Chase who I adopted from Lake Road Veterinary Rescue last year. Her love and passion is endless for all animals, great and small.

Chloe Pratt
Puppy Educator
Chloe is one of our Puppy Educators. She is also studying Veterinary Nursing. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and going camping. She is a human Mum to a 4 year old son and 7 year old daughter. She is also a dedicated Foster Carer for LRV Rescue patients.

Ava White
Animal Attendant
Ava is one of our dedicated Patient Care team members. She has been with Lake Road Vet for many years. She takes great pride in her work and enjoys ensuring all patient get there care they need while in hospital. Ava is a proud Fur-Mum to baby Nala.
